This gorgeous Snowshoe is CLAWDIA SCHIFFER, so named because when we met her, she had recently clawed half her face at the shelter. Who would have thought that a high-density city shelter is no place for a supermodel? While those wounds are now healed, they did result in some scarring and hair loss on the back of her head and neck. The good news is all that pain is behind her, for we now know that her issue was not caused by the stress of shelter life as initially suspected, but rather by a food allergy. Therefore, this special girl will have to be on a prescription, limited ingredient diet for life.
Clawdia is a high-energy kitten who loves chasing toys, tearing around the house, and swatting at birds and squirrels on Cat TV. She is incredibly active, curious, and extroverted, and will greet strangers by climbing into their laps, placing a front paw on either shoulder, and rubbing her face all over theirs. Shy and demure she most certainly is not! So if you are looking for a cat who hides when company arrives, this is not the cat for you. If, however, you are in the market for a dog-cat who is a glutton for attention and will always be at your side, Clawdia is your girl.
Clawdia is vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative, and will be spayed at the end of March. Because she demands a lot of activity and attention, we think she would do best in a home with at least one other feline friend to keep her occupied when the humans are away. She just celebrated her first birthday, and is fully grown at 7 pounds.
