Sunny Ray’s story began in uncertainty—picked up by animal control with a draining abscess on his back leg and no one to claim him. We don’t know what this beautiful young boy endured before rescue, but his quiet, haunted eyes suggest he’s been through more than any cat should.
Now safe, neutered, and fully vetted, Sunny Ray’s wound is healing—but his spirit is still on the mend. He doesn’t hiss or flinch when we reach out a hand; he allows gentle touch, but seems unsure how to respond. He’s not aggressive or fearful—just emotionally shut down, as if waiting to know it’s finally safe to open up.
